Halloween Play Idea: Jack O Lantern

Halloween Play Ideas with Play Dough

Miss A's cousin came by for a little play date, so I thought it would be fun to create a small little invitation to play, using a few different sensory mediums. With Halloween around the corner, I knew it had to be something related.

What's the first thing you think of when it comes to Halloween? For me, it's the Jack o Lantern. But since pumpkin carving isn't something we've ever done, the next best thing I could think of was - decorate your own pumpkin play doughs! 😂

In this set up, I used tangerine play dough, coloured rice, lentils, beans, our Halloween cutters and not forgetting a tool kit for all the rolling, cutting and slicing. I laid out all the materials for them and let them go crazy with decorating their own pumpkins.  Oh what fun!
