FAQs

What is your play dough made from?
All our play doughs are made to order, this is to ensure quality and freshness.

We only use high quality food grade ingredients like flour, salt, cream of tartar, coconut oil, vegetable oil and food grade colourings and flavours - that's it!

Our play doughs contain gluten but do not contain nuts, dairy, eggs or soy. However it is handmade in a facility that does contain these items. The utmost care is taken to ensure our play doughs are created in a clean environment, however cross contamination may occur. We also cannot guarantee that third party ingredients used do not contain traces of peanuts, dairy and/or eggs.

While our play doughs are non-toxic, they do have a very high salt content and it is not recommended for consumption.

Can I have my doughs unscented?
Of course! If you would rather not have your play doughs scented, please choose 'unscented' before checking out, or drop us a note.

Why does my play dough colour look different to the website?

We take our colours seriously. While we work hard to make sure colours are consistent from what you see on our website, please note that everything is handmade and there may be slight colour variations from what you see on screen due to screen brightness and how the play dough interacts with the environment.

How do I look after my play dough and how long does it last?
Our play doughs are all natural and contain no preservatives to extend shelf life. They generally last about 2-3 months, however, if it's not being used frequently or isn't stored properly, mould may appear quicker than normal.

Always store play dough in the jars provided, and keep away from heat and direct sun.

If your play dough has any traces of mould or if you notice any unusual smells, please discard immediately and replace with a fresh jar.

Always use clean, dry hands when handling our play dough.

If you notice your play dough drying up, you might want to try adding a few small drops of vegetable oil of your choice and knead back to life.

Who is your play dough suitable for?
Little kids to big kids at heart - basically, it's fun for the whole family!

While it's generally recommend to introduce play dough to children 3 years and older, we believe even little ones as young as 1 year old can enjoy play dough too!

Adult supervision is required at all times to ensure a safe and fun play session.

How do I look after my coloured rice?
Always use clean, dry hands when playing. If water comes into contact with the rice, colours may run.

How do I look after my water beads?
When not in use, please keep your water beads in the jar provided, in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Wash the beads once a week by running it under water, or use a small amount of hand sanitiser and mix through the beads.

If you notice your beads shrinking, rehydrate them by soaking in water for anywhere between 4 to 8 hours. Drain and discard excess water.
